In ''Super Mario Sunshine'', Wiggler appears in two missions in Gelato Beach: [[Mirror Madness! Tilt, Slam, Bam!]] and [[Wiggler Ahoy! Full Steam Ahead!]]. In the first mission where Wiggler appears, it is impeding the hatching of the [[Sand Bird]] by covering the solar reflectors and the solar heating device that feeds warmth to the Sand Bird's egg. Mario has to correctly angle three mirrors, to hasten the hatching of the Sand Bird, by removing the [[Cataquack]]s found on the mirrors. Once all three mirrors are correctly angled, Wiggler falls apart, revealing a [[Shine Sprite]]. In the second mission, Mario has to fight an enraged Wiggler, whose rampage is putting Gelato Beach and its residents in disarray. Wiggler moves very quickly and can damage Mario by running into him. Mario can stun it by spraying [[Dune Bud]]s with water when Wiggler approaches them so that when Wiggler trips over them, it falls onto its back, revealing a weak point on its belly for Mario to [[Ground Pound]]. After Wiggler has been hit three times, it turns into sand, earning Mario another Shine Sprite.

In ''[[Mario Kart: Double Dash!!]]'', Wiggler does not make a physical appearance, but numerous [[Wiggler Bus]]es that appear in the game bear a similar appearance to him (such as his red nose, green skin, orange and yellow spots, and the flower on his head). The Wiggler Buses act as obstacles in [[Mushroom City]] and [[Mushroom Bridge]].

===Physical appearance===
Unlike most Wigglers, Wiggler has a different color scheme, having yellow eyes instead of black, green skin instead of yellow, a red nose instead of a brown one and wearing blue shoes instead of violet ones. It is also very large, possessing more than eight body segments, making him even larger than a [[Mega Wiggler]] and the second largest Wiggler in the [[Mario (franchise)|''Mario'' franchise]], surpassed only by the massive Wiggler appearing in [[World 7 (New Super Mario Bros.)|World 7-3]] of ''[[New Super Mario Bros.]]''. Wiggler also has the distinction of being one of the few Wigglers who does not change color when enraged.

===Personality===
Like most Wigglers, Wiggler has a very short temper and will thrash about when enraged. It also seems to be a bit lazy, as it fell asleep while guarding the Sand Bird instead of keeping an eye out for [[Mario]].

==Abilities==
Like all Wigglers, Wiggler can become invincible when enraged and charges wildly at its opponent. It is also very fast, capable of running up hills and in water with no change in its velocity. These abilities are further enhanced by its immense size. It can also release steam from its nose when enraged or being sprayed with water.

*Although other games, including ''[[Super Mario 64]]'', its [[Super Mario 64 DS|remake]], ''[[Super Princess Peach]]'', and ''[[Mario Kart DS]]'' has bosses based on Wigglers, the Wiggler from ''Super Mario Sunshine'' is the only one whose appearance greatly differs from that of a regular Wiggler.
*If Mario ground pounds Wiggler's body in ''Super Mario Sunshine'', the boss music speeds up once per hit. This doesn't happen with any other boss in the game.
