'''Dream Events''' are special-themed Olympic events featured in the ''[[Mario & Sonic]]''. Each one takes place in a location from either the [[Mario (franchise)|''Mario'' franchise]] or the ''[[Sonic the Hedgehog (series)|Sonic the Hedgehog]]'' series, rather than the Olympic stadium. Dream Events feature elements and mechanics not present in the regular Olympic events, namely from the ''Mario'' and ''Sonic the Hedgehog'' franchises, and therefore do not exist in the real world.
