Monty Mole: Difference between revisions

In volume 46, Monty Moles appear in the table of contents page, mimicking their ''New Super Mario Bros. U'' artwork. Monty Moles make a major role in  the fourth chapter, when Mario, Luigi, and [[Toad]] stumble upon the「もぐらまつり」(''[[Mogura Matsuri]]'', Mole Festival), a festival filled with Monty Moles, some of which are wearing headbands. They meet a female Monty Mole (who is also a [[Rocky Wrench]], which was shown in the first chapter of the volume) named [[Pūko]] who gives them a tour of the festival. One of the areas of the festival is a whack-a-mole game which has Mario being whacked by Monty Moles as he tries to whack them, which Pūko reveals it to actually be「チョロプーがたたくゲーム」(''[[Choropū ga tataku gēmu]]'', a game where Monty Moles whack the player, since the Japanese name of "whack-a-mole",「モグラたたき」(''mogura tataki''), literally translates to "mole whack" and can be interpreted as the moles being the subject instead of the object). While Pūko continues the tour for Mario and his friends, a [[Morty Mole]] destroys the festival due to it being in their home, causing the Monty Moles to flee. While Mario fights the Morty Mole, Pūko gives Mario a super-metal, invincible power suit that was handed down for generations in the Monty Mole family, which Mario takes off immediately after feeling uncomfortable wearing it. As the Morty Mole attacks Mario, Luigi wins two [[Statue Leaf|Statue Leaves]] from a raffle run by a Monty Mole with glasses which they use to defeat the Morty Mole and save the Mogura Matsuri.

In volume 47, a cooked Monty Mole with sauce on its head can be seen as one of the foods Yoshi gets to eat alongside other cooked enemies in the first chapter. In a later chapter, [[Nabbit]] steals a Monty Mole's fur among other things from other enemies. Later in the same chapter, Nabbit puts Luigi's face on a Monty Mole while he is putting his and Yoshi's faces on several enemies using Luigi's [[Poltergeist 3000]].
