In addition to being a playable character, Monty Moles also make various non-playable roles throughout the game as well. Mechanical Monty Moles similar to the plastic ones seen in the ''Super Mario Party'' minigame [[Rhythm and Bruise]] can be found within the [[Koopathlon]] minigame [[Noggin Knock]]. In this minigame, the player must whack the mechanical Monty Moles with a hammer in order to gain [[coin]]s from each Monty Mole whacked (with regular ones giving 1 coin, the [[Golden Monty Mole|golden one]]s giving 5 coins, and the [[Golden big Monty Mole|large golden one]] giving 20 coins, with the latter two types of Monty Moles needing to be whacked multiple times in order to get rewarded). Outside of minigames, a singular Monty Mole also makes a small background appearance on the board [[Mega Wiggler's Tree Party]], where it can be seen hanging out with a [[Shy Guy|Pink Shy Guy]] sitting on a log (though this Monty Mole cannot be interacted with). Monty Moles also make a few appearances as NPCs in the [[Party-Planner Trek]] campaign during some tasks. In the "[[In Time of Need]]" task found in Mega Wiggler's Tree Party, a Monty Mole will offer the player a [[Mini Star]] they found while digging, giving said Mini Star if the player accepts their offer.
