Rocky Wrench: Difference between revisions

Sprites found in development materials of ''[[Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island]]'' include sprites and animations for Rocky Wrench as well as potential log vehicles, but they were again removed. Their head shape and sunglasses is reminiscent of Monty Moles' designs for ''Super Mario World'', though they are still taller and lack some of the white patches. Uniquely, Rocky Wrenches also seem to have originally been planned to walk inside logs, as well as riding log cars similar to the Flintmobile from {{wp|The Flintstones}} (though they were still going to keep their wrench throwing tactics as well). Only their wrench and possible lower body exist within [[List of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island beta elements|unused graphics]] in the final release. [[Snifit]]s were also alternately considered to utilize the vehicles designed for Rocky Wrenches, though this was also later scrapped.

In the files for the "ys romX 0" prototype of the game, there is an unused stage select animation of Rocky Wrench rotating around in their log car that was planned to be used in the world map. Interestingly enough, there are some design differences between this Rocky Wrench sprite and their  unused standard enemy sprite, mainly being slightly different colored parts and more rounder wheels on the log car itself.
